Idaho Bitcoin Reserve Status

Current status: NO OFFICIAL RESERVES

Idaho has not established a state Bitcoin reserve, and no legislation for such a reserve has been proposed as of 2025. The state fosters a crypto-friendly environment through the Bitcoin Protection Act (2024), which safeguards self-custody and trading rights, and HB 585, which supports cryptocurrency mining. Idaho's lack of state income tax further enhances its appeal for crypto users.

No funds have been allocated for Bitcoin reserves. Idaho prioritizes protecting individual Bitcoin use and mining operations over state-held cryptocurrency reserves.
